  • Abstract
Time-lapse is an effective tool for learners to cognize processes that evolve too slowly to be perceived in real-time. As film photography is a comprehensive art, we present methods for making educational time-lapse videos from two aspects, film technology and artistic design. After analyzing the properties of time-lapse, we propose to use digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera or video camcorder that has a built-in intervalometer for time-lapse flim clips, explore their settings such as shutter speed and interval, and advantages respectively in order to realize a predetermined artistic idea. Finally some time-lapse photography parameters are present for reference.
