  • Abstract
    A realization of Solar domestic hot water controlling system based on the microcontroller PIC 16F8777 was treated in this paper. Some generalities about the renewable energy were given. Solar energy in Algeria was introduced to elucidate the actual need of solar energy exploitation. A general principle of the solar water heater was presented to describe the real plant and then the routing of the built program for this project was illustrated. The project had been realized by using the PIC 16F8777 microcontroller and the results have been carried out using a digital LCD which displays the hot water temperature. This temperature varies between two specified values. The results prove the competitiveness of the solar domestic hot water control board.
