Abstract
The paper proposes a stitching algorithm of fast serial image mosaic for UAV remote sensing images based on artificial immune system. Firstly, it extracts the large edges using the method that based on Wavelet and Canny edge detector, and takes sequential similarity detection algorithm (SSDA) as similarity measure and uses artificial immune network algorithm to speed up the searching of the initial transformation parameters. Based on the result of the image matching, the two images are stitched. Simulation experimental results show that the algorithm presented in the paper greatly improves the operation speed, while the precision remains fine, so it can be applied in real-time mosaicking of serial images from UAV very well.
