Abstract :
A new method for computing admittance matrix of linear subnetwork and its exact derivative with respect to frequency is proposed for the piecewise harmonic balance analysis of nonlinear autonomous microwave circuits. It is conceptually simple, and with some modification, can effectively exploit the sparseness of nodal admittance matrix to save the calculation time. Simulation results include comparison of computation time with other approaches for calculating derivative of admittance matrix.
