Abstract
Describes microcomputer-based devices for use in constraint-induced movement therapy for lower-extremity stroke rehabilitation. The devices monitor use of the affected leg and supplies the patient with feedback in order to encourage increased use of the affected leg during therapy. A prototype device based on a personal computer was developed to facilitate initial clinical evaluation and concept refinement.
