Abstract
Since an active sensing is very useful concept, it is applied to an odor sensing system. An overview of active odor sensing system including its concept, an odor-source localization, an array of sensors with plastic characteristics, a preconcnetrator with variable temperature, auto-sensitivity control of a sensor and an odor recorder are explained. A sensor can be smart and raise its capability when an active sensing is introduced.
