Abstract
We developed a measure of cytoskeletal linearity in order to study the biological properties of normal and hyperphosphorylated Microtubule Associated Protein Tau (MAPT). The effect of site-specific tau phosphorylation on the microtubule network was examined and the stability of the actin cytoskeletal was evaluated to determine its state under the influence of P-tau. A custom ImageJ plugin using the linear Hough transform was developed to quantify the linearity of polymerized actin.
