Abstract
Where, in the vastness of the Australian rangelands, should limited monitoring resources be directed? NDVI-derived indicators (minimum values this year compared with past years´ minimum values, trend in minimum values across years, trend in ´green flush from rainfall´ transfer quotients across years) are used to identify areas that are apparently stable. Other areas are marked as possibly changing
