Abstract
Digital Watermarking is a highly evolving field, which involves the embedding of a digital signature under a multimedia object (image, video, audio) for the purpose of copyright protection In our paper we propose a method of embedding watermarks in still digital images in the DCT domain. A unique approach of rating the 8×8 blocks of the image DCT coefficients is proposed. The experimental results show sufficient robustness of the proposed scheme to common attacks such as cropping, and JPEG lossy compression.
