Abstract
The authors discuss a parallel fuzzy reasoning model for implementation of fuzzy production systems on a multiprocessor constructed by using a host computer and transputers. They introduce a new fuzzy reasoning model for sequential fuzzy production systems, which are characterized by the metarules for firing rule selection. It is shown, by analysis of the interrelations among fuzzy rules, how sequential fuzzy production systems can be transformed into their parallel forms. Three types of multiprocessor architecture used for implementing this parallel fuzzy reasoning model are suggested
