Abstract
Our experimental investigations show that neutral Ba atoms serve as target upon the creation of the doubly charged ions in the infrared spectral range. This fact indicate that the two-electron mechanism of the creation of the Ba2+ ions is implemented upon the ionization of the Ba atoms by the IR radiation.
