Abstract :
The design and development of a multipurpose display system employing dot-matrix panel is reported. The system displays oscillographic waveforms such as musical audio along with the display of programmed characters in slotted windows. The display system has the following features. 1. Single channel oscillographic display. 2. Storage oscilloscope functions. 3. Dual channel oscillographic display. 4. Display of alphanumeric text from PC. 5. X-Y coordinate display. Being cost effective, this system proves to be promising for many applications.
