Abstract :
The environmental laser mapping (ELM) system will provide a cost effective airborne laser chemical mapping system which can provide GIS imager and chemical data to an end user on an interactive CD-ROM within 24 hours, or, if necessary, via satellite up-link in real time. The ELM system will have a speed of 150mph and a sensitivity of 1ppm ethane equivalent for four separate chemicals of interest
