Study on Selection of Superseded Leading Industries of Daqing

This paper discusses the necessity of industries transformation in resource-oriented city Daqing. Ten alternative industries in Daqing are comparative analyzed and calculated through the method of principal component analysis (PCA), then the order of the alternative industries is listed as follows: chemical industry, electrical installations manufacturing, food-processing industry, pharmaceutical industry, plastic products industry, general mechanical manufacturing, fabricated metal products, specialized equipment manufacturing, electronic and communication equipments manufacturing and transportation equipment manufacturing. We choose the first three as the superseded leading industries eventually. The result of selection suits the practical situation of Daqing, and is of certain reference value for the industries transformation of Daqing.
