Abstract
During IEEE-APS 2009 we presented [1]. In this article we demonstrated the possibility to calculate an approximation of the far field in a given bearing ϑ ∈ [0, 2π] from measurements of near fields the bearings of which were located in [ϑ - π/2, ϑ + π/2]. We then quickly explained how to calculate this far field thanks to a convolution product. In this paper we propose to go further in the Near Field Far Field Transformation (NFFFT). More precisely we quantify the degree of approximation of our method while considering a target constituted by scatterers and synthesized in near field and while calculating the analytical expression of this target in far field thanks to the NFFFT. We then apply our method on a cylinder measured in a CEA measurement facility.
