Abstract
Simulation of Raman response function is proposed using confined part of Raman gain efficiency spectrum. Comparison of our response-function model with other theoretical models is presented. Received response-function curve based on inverse Fourier transform of complex third-order susceptibility shows that we may use only 10 Gauss spectral components instead of 12 Gauss components calculated before. Moreover, proposed principle of Gauss spectral decomposition method is applicable for other types of silica fibers.
