Wireless IPTV in practice

The paper firstly introduces the reader to the main directions of the wireless IPTV researches at the University of Miskolc. After this it shows briefly one of the directions, the measurements and hardware modifications that made possible the biggest results. It also shows the ongoing process of making digital television streams optimal to wireless IPTV. It describes the current results, and the differences between this optimal and the not optimal solutions that multinational firms currently use for this purpose. The paper then explains the commercial usage possibilities of the complex wireless IPTV system, and also introduces the reader to the science underlying part of wireless IPTV, that is based on the firstly explained measurements and the stream optimization.
