Abstract :
The authors deal with an exponential possibility distribution and its application to discriminant analysis and fuzzy relation systems. The basic idea underlying the approach is to construct an exponential possibility theory and to apply it to data analysis. The discriminant analysis is formulated by minimizing the possibility or necessity measure. The inverse problem in fuzzy relation systems defined by exponential possibility distributions can be solved by matrix operations
