Abstract :
Due to its high spectral efficiency and inherent robustness against multipath fading channels, OFDM has become a popular solution for various high-speed wireless data transmission systems. However, the OFDM signal has a large PAPR (peak to average power ratio), which results in the significant nonlinear distortion when it passes through a high power amplifier. A number of PAPR reduction techniques have been proposed in the literature, while most of the technique require high computational complexity which is undesirable. In this paper, we propose a unique PAPR reduction method based on intelligent time domain signal paring which can achieve significant PAPR reduction with low complexity.
