Abstract :
The 3rd generation mobile communication systems, called the IMT-2000 is well known for mobile multimedia because of the possibility of high speed data transmission and the affinity for Internet access. Japan Telecom has developed IMT-2000 experimental systems with two different vendors and has begun an experiment in May 1998. The experimental systems are located in Tokyo urban area and Chiba suburban area and are due to confirm the difference of the terrain factor and readiness for interoperability tests. We introduce an overview of the whole experiments and present the result of the evaluation of the interference canceller and diversity hand over (DHO) performance
