Abstract
Feng shui woodland groves are important cultural heritage and have great potential for ecotourism in Hong Kong. An IKONOS image is used to identify these woodlands using both spectral and textural data. Classifications using both spectral and textural data produce 86% producer´s accuracy but also with a high error of commission. Identification of these woodlands help building a GIS for identifying potential woodland sites for ecotourism.
