Abstract
This paper presents briefly the most significant characteristics of the programmable logic devices (PLDs) internal architecture from MACH family as well as the implementation mode and the specific performances of a 4B/3T line encoder and decoder. The encoder and decoder is used by a digital transmission equipment on coaxial cable. The technology permits miniaturisation and easy practical implementation
