Abstract :
In this paper a design of a planar ultrawideband antenna with photonically controlled notched bands is presented. The design is based on the patch with a partial ground plane, with an etched T-shaped slot and integrated silicon switch. The switch is activated by a near-infrared laser diode, which causes the change in a band notch of the antenna.
