Abstract :
Visual fatigue is gaining widespread attention with the booming development of 3D stereoscopic video technology. Vertical parallax is one of the reasons which can cause visual fatigue. A method for vertical parallax elimination without camera parameters was proposed in this paper. First, distinctive invariant feature points were extracted in 3D geometric space. Next, three-dimensional projective transformation matrix H was calculated by the feature points. Last, matrix H was applied to one of the two views. Experimental results show that the vertical parallax is greatly reduced by using the proposed method. Furthermore, when comparing with the method of two-dimensional projective transformation, our algorithm performs better.
