Abstract :
Imaging by hierarchical disaggregation is a processing scheme offering fast generation of monostatic radar images from arbitrary field measurements. The hierarchical disaggregation procedure is inspired by the Multilevel Fast Multipole Method (MLFMM) and thus the sampling grid in the k-space spectral domain is typically spherical by default. When compared to fast Fourier transform (FFT) based methods, this simplifies the reformatting of the measurement data while maintaining the same computational complexity.
