It is a well-known fact that the China population is getting older. The number and proportion of older people in China is growing and they are expected to dominate the consumer markets of the future. This paper explores the consumption characteristics and attractiveness of the older market to marketers. It shows that the ageing population in China is potentially a dominant segment of the consumer market of the future and tries to propose some personalized marketing strategies which meet the demand of the elderly market.
