Abstract
In this paper we describe a new configuration for a waveguide power splitter which exhibits a very wide and equiripple useful bandwidth. The device is based on the use of a Y-junction as the central resonator of a three-pole Chebyshev filter. The accurate electromagnetic simulation and the design procedure for this new device are fully described in the paper. In addition to theoretical results, measured data are also presented, indicating excellent agreement with the simulated performance.
