Abstract :
Forward Interference Avoidance (FIA) has been proposed. It provides a scheme to use adaptive array antennas efficiently in wireless ad hoc networks (WAHN). This paper proposes to embed FIA in a media access control (MAC) protocol in WAHN. Through computer simulations, the performance improvement in terms of the number of co-existent links is verified.
