Abstract
In MUBEX (Mutsu Bay Experiment) campaign held during the summers of 1995, 1996, and 1997, various sea truth measurements were carried out. In particular, extensive thermal images of sea surfaces were obtained by TIC (Thermal Infrared Camera). Among these images, we selected some thermal images of sea surfaces, which include reflection of different downward radiation from sky. Effective sea surface emissivity was calculated by analyzing statistically the selected images. In this paper, we report the calculation procedure of the effective sea surface emissivity and the results
