Abstract :
This paper briefly reviews the behavior of mobile radio signals and the performance of radio mobile systems associated with its service area coverage. Two methods of specifying the area coverage are defined. With the area coverage clearly defined, together with the definitions of shadow areas and the associated integrating time, the area coverage of any mobile radio system can be clearly specified. The specifications used for an actual system are given.<>
