Abstract :
In this paper, an effective method combining histogram manipulation and moving objects region enhancement for nighttime video enhancement is proposed. The proposed method firstly extracts moving objects region from a video image. Secondly the RGB color space of video is converted to YCbCr color space. Thirdly Y component is enhanced using histogram manipulation. In order to improve the perceptual quality of the moving objects region, we propose a moving objects region enhancement method. Finally color image is reconstructed. Experimental results show that our method can obtain more appealing perceptual quality than the state-of-the-art algorithms. The experiment shows the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.
