  • Abstract
    Win and Winters (see Proc. IEEE Globecom, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1999) investigated the performance of the hybrid selection maximal ratio combining (H-S/MRC) scheme in a Rayleigh fading environment. We expand on that work by considering non-ideal channel estimation under Rayleigh fading for the H-S/MRC system. We derive both a closed form exact expression and less computationally intensive bound expressions for the symbol error probability of three systems; differential detector, pilot symbol assisted-estimator and ideal coherent detector
