  • Abstract
We have developed a prototype system for the ATM traffic generator and analyzer, which can generate various ATM traffic patterns such as burst traffic, random traffic and CBR(continuous bit rate) traffic. The prototype measures parameters such as cell loss ratio and cell delay distribution, the definition of which conforms to the CCITT recommendation L35B, and analyzes the performance of the system. These functions have been implemented on the commercial 32-bit PC (personal computer) system. This makes it easy to operate the system and to add new features.<>
