Abstract :
Ultrawideband (UWB) System based on air-core pulse transformer can easily get high repetition frequency and high peak power. Theoretical research was carried on air-core pulse transformer which composed of taper winding. The relationship between transformer´s output voltage and coupling coefficient was analyzed. The adaptive values of coupling coefficient was calculated to realize wonderful electric performance. An air-core and high ratio pulse transformer was developed, which can be charged by commercial power. The experiment indicate the output voltage of transformer arrive at 110 kV with coupling coefficient being 0.72, When input voltage is 290 V.
