Abstract :
A linear induction accelerator (LIA) cell includes the pulse power system, the cavity and the reset system. A double-pulse cavity needs double magnetic cores contrast to a single-pulse one, so more power is required to restore those cores before the exciting pulses come. Analysis and experiments have been done to prove that, by the method of cable delay, Marx + Blumlein Pulse Forming Line (PFL) pulse power system can generate burst double-pulses output and provide enough pre-pulse to restore the magnetic cores of a double-pulse cavity before the double-pulse generation.
