Abstract :
A review of typical works carried out in recent decades and devoted to investigation of the discharging currents in dielectric liquids following the removal of an applied d.c. voltage and short circuiting of the two electrodes is presented. It is shown that the shape of the discharging current depends on the shape of the charging current. Different mechanisms have been proposed to explain the origin of the discharging currents
