Abstract :
Image matching method plays an important role in the research of bubble tracking and bubble rising velocity. A method of wavelet transform and cross-correlation technique combination was developed for image matching. A method for how to get the template windows were detailed at the beginning, which was based on label sticking. The template window also should appropriately adjust to meet the requirement of wavelet transform. The experimental results have demonstrated that the matching method of wavelet transform & cross-correlation has a reliable accuracy and sharply reduced the computing time over the conventional cross-correlation technique.
