Abstract :
Today´s widely available fast processors provide sufficient compute power for the solution of many EM problems. Also, the increase in speed and frequencies of the systems to be modeled has made EM solvers more important. This has lead to a considerable increase in the use of EM modeling programs and techniques which are based on different formulations. In this paper, we consider partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) approach which has found wide applications since it is suitable for the solution of mixed EM and circuits problems. In this paper, we consider some of the issues which must be treated with care to obtain valid solutions using the PEEC approach. Some of these issues are accuracy related.
