Abstract :
The experiments and numerical Simulation of HPIB (high power ion beams) transportation are presented. The transportation of HPIB in different transporting conditions and distances was studied. The influence of neutralization on the radius of beam and the uniformity of the current distribution was analyzed. The simulation code HPIBTran was programmed to calculate the waveforms of HPIB traveled to different distances. Being neutralized, the HPIB can be transported to a distance above 80cm.
