Abstract
An improved adaptive generalized morphological filter is proposed in this paper. With respect to the different types of interference possibly encountered in power system signal, detailed investigations are carried out through numerical simulation, regarding the impacts of the amplitude and width of a structure element on the performance of the improved adaptive generalized morphological filter. With the lessening of amplitude and the increase of length of structural elements, the optimal value of step parameter of filter remains unchanged basically or augment gradually and the filtering performance of filter meliorate gradually. Under same amplitude and length conditions, the filtering performance of improved adaptive generalized morphological filter is better than adaptive generalized morphological filter. Simulation results show that the improved adaptive generalized morphological filter can effectively suppress various noises in the sampling signals of power system. The consumption of time of filter is shorter than adaptive generalized morphological filter and the filtering effect is better. So the simulation results prove the effectiveness and practicality of improved adaptive generalized morphological filter.
