Abstract
In this paper, a numerical simulation model was developed to simulate the helium plasma in a cylindrical hollow cathode based on a three-dimensional, time-dependent and self-consistent fluid model. Accurate solution through the continuity equations, electron energy balance equation and continuity equations with reasonable boundary conditions to get the discharge characteristics which are very important to understand the phenomena of microhollow cathode discharge. The discussions will be helpful for the design of commercial discharge structure.
