Abstract :
The paper presents a new optical position sensor called the photo-switch array which can be used to detect the shadow position of an object. Another application of the photo-switch array is to detect the shadow image of an object, even if it is moving with a very high speed. Analytical results for system transfer function are presented and verified experimentally.<>
