Abstract
The Battle-Lemarie based Multiresolution Time Domain Scheme (MRTD) is applied to the modeling of antenna geometries and microwave circuits containing distributed and lumped elements (passive and active). The constitutive relationship at areas with nonuniform dielectric constant is discretized in a way that maintains high efficiency in memory and execution time. This is achieved through a thresholding procedure which is discussed for a specific example in terms of numerical error and memory economy. The addition of wavelets in space-domain demonstrates the inherent capability of MRTD for a space-/time- adaptive gridding.
