Abstract :
Geoelectric stratigraphy recognition in transient electromagnetic (TEM) signal is presented on basis of time-frequency analysis and image classification. In this paper, we compare several typical theoretical TEM signal of geoelectric stratigraphy and their time-frequency distribution image respectively so as to recognize several typical signals by means of image classification. A new technique based on time-frequency analysis and image classification is introduced which enables us to analyze TEM signal. Some significant effects have been observed after the above comparison. It helps us to analyze the characteristic of TEM signal in time frequency energy distribution, providing a means of recognizing geoelectric stratigraphy, which is more convenient and rapid than the complicated and time-consuming conventional inversion calculation method.
