Abstract
This paper solved production planning problem in virtual enterprise (VE) considering time constraint on individual tasks and overall cost. The production planning is to minimize the overall cost of the VE with the time constraint of individual tasks. In this paper, we firstly build a mathematic model for the production planning problem and propose a heuristic algorithm to seek optimal solution for the problem. This algorithm consists of the method of solution existence judgment and strategy to adjust processing time of tasks. We demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the model and algorithm with numerical simulation.
