Abstract :
There are three functional requirements that a transportation network data model for dynamic navigation must meet, which are spatio-temporal representation of dynamic traffic information, muiti-scale representation of road network, and carriageway-based representation of topological and transportation relationships of road network. However, existing models, including some navigable data models, GIS-T linear data models, and GIS-T spatio-temporal data models, rarely support these three well. In this article, Transportation feature oriented multi-dimensional navigation data model is presented.
