Abstract :
In the paper, new stability test theorems for 2D IIR digital filters are proposed, which can simplify the algebraic test procedure, especially for the test of high order 2D digital filters. The authors directly use the modified 1D Schur test that is revised to test zeros in |z|/spl les/1 instead of searching real roots in all x /spl isin/[-1,1]. The test is a very exact test and can overcome the drawbacks of other algebraic or nonalgebraic test methods.<>
