Abstract
Fan filters with arbitrary angle and orientation are used in geographical and image data processing, so the design of fan filters is very important in the field of signal processing; however, most algorithms cannot be used to design this kind of fan filter. In the paper, a method to design fan filters with arbitrary angle and /spl plusmn/45/spl deg/ orientation is introduced. Because some approximation techniques are used, the method is very simple. Experiments show that the cut-off frequency contours are very close to the idle ones.<>
