Abstract :
Based on the Chinese experience in development project social assessment, this paper makes a theoretical and experiential explanation from the perspective of heterogeneity analysis, which has important engineering sociological significance. Qualitative methods and quantitative methods can be mutually complementary. In order to make the theory application in social assessment more appropriate, the authors build two middle theoretical concepts, "regional variability" and "massive variability". The concepts can be used well in practice through a Chinese concrete case.
