Abstract
An enhanced emission mode has been observed in a ferroelectric plasma cathode based on BaTiO3 ceramics. The enhanced emission is achieved by the generation of a dense plasma (1013-1014 cm-3). The mechanism of the plasma formation was studied. Generation of an electron beam with current amplitude up to 2.5 kA is demonstrated.
